Med-ALERT is charity operating in Lancashire, dedicated to the provision of skilled medical help to the scene of accidents. We are one of a number of schemes affiliated to the British Association for Immediate Care (BASICS) and operate as part of BASICS NW.

The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) receive more than 6 million calls a year. Their Paramedics and Technicians are well trained and able to deal with the vast majority of emergencies that they are called to. Despite their skills, there still remains a number of critically injured patients who benefit from more advanced care at the scene of the incident. Med-ALERT members are all volunteer doctors who freely give up their time to provide this assistance to those who need it.
